Tutorial is an exhibition that encompasses the works of ten artists who also instruct at OCAF. The exhibit showcases the diversity of our instructors and their vision of art. These professionals share their unique talents and experience with others through structured courses and workshops that promote individual accomplishment, creativity and self confidence in all forms of art such as: painting, drawing, pottery, bookmaking, sculpture, floral design and writing.

“Art is from the heart and food for the soul.” This concept incorporates every aspect of any artist. Our history, handed down from generation to generation, significantly influences who we are and how we view the world. It determines our values, morals and character. As artists, we utilize this portion of ourselves with the viewer. We desire that viewer to commiserate, rejoice, remember and share in our experiences. By sharing ourselves through art, we feed the soul and encourage a bonding of the spirit. “Heart & Soul” is an exhibition that showcases the work of eight black artists sharing their history and experiences.
